In my search for the perfect material, I discovered a combination that hadn't existed before. The Naturally Pam fitness mat is the first made from natural rubber blended with recycled EVA foam and algae.
Firstly, the mat is made primarily from natural and recycled materials and is itself recyclable. Secondly, the underside of the fitness mat contains algae, meaning that its production contributes to environmental cleanup. Through photosynthesis, algae absorb CO2 from the atmosphere. After a certain period, the algae must be harvested, otherwise they would grow uncontrollably and destroy the underlying ecosystem. During the algae harvest, the water is purified, oxygenated, and returned to the ecosystem.
REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. Products that do not contain any substances harmful to health or the environment receive REACH certification. All materials used comply with the REACH Regulation and are safe to use.
Closed Cell Surface means that the surface (rubber) helps protect the mat, making it more durable and hygienic. If it gets a little slippery during your workout, simply wipe it down and it will be completely non-slip again.
